Creating art is my passion, some works in my portfolio have been dreamt about before I have made them.
My journey in art began straight after graduating from an art institute in Delhi, when I bought some silk and painted them with spring floral motifs. This led to creating garments from these silks and flourished into a hand painted, embroidered business. I sold my business in 1994 and moved to New Zealand. Here I choose to become an art teacher. This indeed was a very enriching experience. I learnt, I taught, I created, I loved every bit of it. Teaching is more than a full time role, however, I made time to do my own art and took part in annual art exhibitions at Affordable Art NZ, WATA exhibitions, both in Nelson and Wellington.
My yearning to do art as a full time artist has come true and now I am painting to my hearts’ content.
